I've never before had the "single chime on the hour" function. I think I'll like that option.

The only function I wish it had was a countdown timer with 60, 30, 25, 15, 10, 5, 3, and 1 minute pre-set countdown times. My last digital watch had that and I will continue to look for a simple watch with that function.

This shelter is not bad for but there are some significant drawbacks to it, and you may want to pony up the bucks for the Kelty or something else. I put it up for the first time today and immediately one of the pole clips snapped with barely any pressure. The first thing I noticed was the shock cords are absolutely too loose so the poles don't stay together well, so this was more of a hassle to put up than it should have been. The no-see-um window is a better idea than I thought it would be but badly sewn in and I suspect the zipper tabs will soon part ways. I still gave this a 4 because it's only and I can see it will be functional despite these probs. Had I known though I might have gone with more quality.

To be perfectly honest, I've only used it 4 times and it functioned exactly as it's advertised to do. My husband was at first a little apprehensive about his wife going like he does but he's gotten used to the idea now. Besides, that's his problem. However, it will not work with tight clothing. I tried it while wearing a tight pair of jeans and no way was I able to get it "placed" into position without dropping trow at least a little bit. Loose, baggy pants or shorts is about the only way to go with this thing. And I doubt you'll be able to write your name in the snow like the guys can because they have the real thing with much better control. The tube in the "Freshette" is much, much larger in circumference than a male's urethra and no matter how full your bladder is and how much muscle power you give it, your stream will be just a pour out at best. No shooting zings of pee like they can do ~sorry~ But still you get to pee standing up without having to pull your pants down and squat! Yea!

And the reason I'm giving it 4 stars instead of five is 1.) It's really over-priced for what you get. It's just a narrowed plastic funnel with a plastic tube attached at the end for cryin' out loud. It shouldn't cost more than ten or twelve dollars. But, necessity sometimes overrules the cost. 2.) I'm not crazy about the princess pink color. It's just too girlie for me. Maybe tie-dyed or cammo, or just plain blue but pink is......just to girlie. And 3.) My artificial whizzer tube bends rather severely to the right causing me to be extra careful with my aim.

We are planning several camping trips this summer and I will certainly report back as to how it works out in the great outdoors. Though, my tests over the inside toidy seem to indicate it will work just fine outside. Also, I have two young daughters so I will see how it works with kids. And I really wished I had one of these things while in China for those months we traveled there. On the positive side though, at least I developed some mighty fine thigh muscles!

UPDATE 6/30/09

We went on a week-long camping trip last week and I used my "Freshette" many times. It was very nice being able to walk a few yards from the tent late at night and "go" without having to walk all the way down to the smelly outhouse. Then, when we emptied a half-gallon milk jug I was able to use it with my "Freshette" and not even leave the tent. Also, on a very long all-day hike I and my seven year old daughter used it and it worked great for her as well. Just rinse it off with bottled water and put it back into a zip-loc back and voila! you're ready for next time. I did wash it out with soap and water real good when I got back to camp.

Before going further, we consider basic cheerleading quickly. In no way final, here's a simple version of the history of cheerleading in about 20 seconds:

Or has its roots (beginning at the turn of the century and, of course, about the same time, the Collegiate Sports really started to take it,) as a national pastime.
Or a big surprise to many, today, has always been an only male cheerleader. In fact, in reality it was not until about the mid 1920s that women began to participate.
cheerleaders or only little by little more than simple compositions was developed in record songs, dances and jumps more sporty and sophisticated, we are familiar with that tag.

We now return to the sport-is-a-dig / no-is-a --> Sport controversy ...

First, what is the definition of sport?

Most dictionary definitions are vague in their light when it comes to what exactly is a sport. Everybody has a tendency to focus on common themes such as "diversion." Now we all know from experience that sports are much more than just a distraction. It is easy to accept the fact that we are a sport as a form of recreation, which can be defined by a sort of competition or of concernanother.

Where does this lead? Well, the generally accepted definition of "sport" fully embrace the concept of what the modern cheerleading. Thus, for the technical definition alone, cheerleading is a sport with all means.

Further proof that cheerleading May (or not) a sport

Most high school and college sports organizations consider and treat cheerleading as a sport officially organized. If this puts into doubt, then there is certainly little roomto say about the fact that there is a cheerleader requires excellent athleticism.

Then there are the similarities between the choreography and sport easily recognizable, particularly in technical language, but look, part cheerleader with traditional sports. There are teams, coaches, exercises, varsity, junior varsity meets, competitions, uniforms, and the list goes on. And then there's the fact that sport and cheerleading go hand in hand.

All-Star Cheerleader meet the test of competitionby all standards. It 'also important to note that a large number of school level, teams compete to participate in almost all the teams cheerleader college level, even in normal competition. Play of course, with a tendency to entertain rather than cheerleading professional league on one end slightly different everything.

So call it what you want, but if it looks like a sport and behaves like a sport, it is rather difficult to say with full authorityCheerleading is not a sport.

The Bottom Line

In the end, it is technically called a verdict. This argument both sides are not very likely to believe that stem from the case. All cliches aside, but keep in mind that cheerleaders are some very athletic exercises, both on the sidelines supporting the team or the cheerleading competition at center court full. Surely they deserve all the awards can possibly get!
