When Nelson Mandela was released from prison 20 years ago this week was a black majority in South Africa for social change and improve their quality of life with enthusiasm. The oppressive apartheid regime was the way out, and in suburbs, hopes for change were high. But as Haru Mutasa reports, many are still waiting for a better future.
